How to use this tool
Breakout Scanner finds range compression setups and flags breakout, breakdown or pre-setup states with a volume filter and ATR-based risk levels.
How it works
- Breakout / Breakdown levels mark the range edges derived from recent price action on the selected timeframe.
- Status shows whether price already broke out, broke down, or is still in a pre-setup phase inside the range.
- Volume OK means current volume is above the EMA baseline — breakouts with weak volume are down-ranked.
- Entry, stop and TP1 are reference levels for planning; open the detail panel for TP2/TP3 and trailing rules.
- Long / Short filters help focus on directional breakouts matching your trading bias.
What to consider
- False breakouts are common — prefer setups with Volume OK and alignment with the higher timeframe trend.
- Pre-setup rows are watchlist candidates, not active signals until price closes beyond the range edge.
- Tight ranges on 1H can whipsaw; 4H and 1D filters often produce cleaner structural breaks.
- Breakdown setups in a macro uptrend need extra confirmation — check Trend Following or PAC context.
- Levels update on a schedule; fast markets can move beyond published prices before the next refresh.
