How to use this tool
Bitcoin Dominance shows what share of large on-chain flows (last 24h) went through BTC vs major alts and stablecoins — a PEPS proxy for whether capital is concentrating in Bitcoin or rotating outward.
How it works
- The gauge reads from the PIE market analyst cache, refreshed on the intelligence engine schedule.
- Regime labels: ≥58% Bitcoin Season, 52–58% Bitcoin Lean, 48–52% Neutral, 42–48% Altcoin Lean, <42% Altcoin Season.
- Altcoin season is the complement (100 − BTC dominance) in the same model.
- Context cards show related PIE scores: ETF flow proxy, stablecoin activity and the internal fear/greed estimate.
- The trend chart plots historical readings from pc_analysis_market when database history is available.
What to consider
- This is a flow-based proxy, not CoinMarketCap market-cap dominance — it reacts to whale on-chain activity, not spot cap weights.
- Stablecoin mints/burns and large alt transfers can move the gauge without a spot BTC price change.
- Use alongside Fear & Greed and Market Scanner macro context before sizing alt vs BTC exposure.
- Sudden spikes often follow cluster whale transfers — confirm with Whale Tracker before acting.
- Not financial advice — dominance regimes describe flow bias, not guaranteed future performance.
